CLASSES

REGISTRATION
Register for classes by coming into the shop or calling 303-322-2223. Take a minute to read and understand the Class and Cancellation Policies below.

CLASS POLICY
As space is limited, full payment is required at registration to hold your spot. All materials must be purchased prior to the beginning of class, unless otherwise noted. All materials needed must be purchased from LambShoppe with the exception of hardware you already own such as needles, hooks etc. Please note skill level required and if there is any homework for your class. As a courtesy to the other students we ask that you arrive for class on time. There will be no admittance beyond 10 minutes past the start time.We know that occasionally unforeseen events will prevent you from being able to attend all of the scheduled classes. In that event any make-up time must be arranged with your instructor and there may be an additional fee required.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Class and workshop fees are transferable up to one week before the start of class. We cannot refund or transfer after that. Instructors reserve the right to cancel with less than their minimum student sign-ups. In the event of cancelation the student has the option of transferring to a differents class or receiving a refund.

PRIVATE HELP APPOINTMENTS
Unable to attend a class or need more individualized help? Schedule a private appointment with one of our skilled staff by calling 303-322-2223. $30.00 to $50.00 per hour for private lessons.
KNITTING SKILL LEVELS
Novice:
Knows how to spell knit, purl and crochet.

Beginner:
Knit- Knows how to cast on and bind off, knit and purl, increase and decrease.
Crochet - Knows how to chain, single, double and triple crochet.

Intermediate:
Knows a variety of stitches, how to use double points, knit in the round, and knows mid-level shaping.

Advanced:
Knows lace stitches and intricate stitch patterns, fair isle, and how to short row.

QUICK TOP-DOWN BABY JACKET

RUSTIC CHRISTMAS STOCKING

Skill Level:Advanced Beginner
Next Start Date:October 28.

Fair Isle Scandinavian Stocking! Start NOW so that you won't be weaving in the final strands of yarn on December 24! You will learn a traditional two-handed knitting technique which makes you fair Isle zip along and also secures your floats. We'll design our stocking, choose our motifs and colors, and learn the Fair Isle technique in the first class, AND get started. So many projects use Fair Isle - a wonderful skill to learn. Kick you knit up to the next level! Fun, fun, fun! Come see the sample in the Shoppe.



THE WILLAMETTE COAT
Skill Level: Intermediate
Next Start Date: October 11.

The Willamette Coat, designed by Leah Thibault and featured in Knit Scene (Winter 2012) is a heavy-weight Fall or Winter Coat that falls just above the knees. Students will learn the following skills: reading charts; cables (with and without a cable needle); magic loop; & I-cord bind-off.



AD-HOC SCARF

Weird and wonderful design. Morphs from garter to I-cord and Next Start Date: September 12.
cabling to slip stitches. Fun to watch it evolve. We're using MJ or Wonderland Yarns.


TUCKER SWEATER
Next Start Date: September 30.
A distinctive cable travels horizontally around the yoke of this bottom up sweater. No need to know how to cable. You will learn how to construct a bottom up sweater, cable and read a chart.



WELTED FINGERLESS GLOVES

Next Start Date: September 30.
Great fingerless gloves that fit will with a thumb gusset. Worked in the round on DPN's.


MISSONI STYLE SCARF

Next Start Date: September 26.
This is a perfect easy project to make for everyone. You choose two colors and away we go. So easy, we are doing this as a free class. Your friends will be amazed at what you can do. We won't tell them how easy it is.



PONCHINI

Next Start Date: September 15.
Truly my favorite scarf, poncho, cowl ever. Yes, it's everything and more. A great accessory with an added delicate diamond lace pattern to give it a bit of challenge. You'll make this one over and over.


CABLE COWL

Next Start Date: September 16.


This lovely piece can be a first cable project or the next step in knitting. It has options for an easy piece or can be made with more knitting challenges. Either way, it's a beartiful result. Think holiday gifts as it's knit on a size 11 needle.



COZY CORNERS CRIB BLANKET

Next Start Date: September 12.


Knit in the softest superwash Cascade 128, makes this cozy blanket for any baby. It's heirloom quality and yet simple. It will have you making one for every baby.


FOLDED SQUARE CARDIGAN

Next Start Date: September 9.


What an interesting piece made from squares that fold together into a lovely cozy open cardigan. It's a little like origami, but feels wonderful to wear. It's not difficult at all and has a great open look.



COCOON ME COWL

Next Start Date: September 2.


A wonderfully textured accessory using a cocoon stitch that looks interesting on both sides. Choose a Cowl or Infinity scarf. Knit in worsted weight yarn making a cozy piece to enjoy.


CHECKERBOARD LACE SHAWL

Next Start Date: September 5.


A basic lace pattern that allows you to create a simple geometric pattern while using basic stitches. Made with a finger/sport weight yarn and a medium sized needle. Goes fast with a great result.


POLKA DOT BABY BLANKET
Note: This class has homework to be done before the first class.
Next Start Date: October 5.

MARY CAROL'S KAMIKAZE CHRISTMAS 2015

SALLY MELVILLE'S L'ENVELOPPE

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner.

TOE-UP SOCKS, TWO AT A TIME.
Skill Level:
Advanced
Next Start Date: September 27.

Ever wanted to knit socks, but didn't know how to start or were intimidated by the heels and toes? Or didn't know how long you could make the socks with the yarn you had?

This class will answer all your questions about knitting socks from the toes up, AND teach you how to knit both socks at the same time (Optional). (This avoids the DREADED Second Sock Syndrome!!)

This class will entail 3-90 minute sessions where you will master Judy's Magic Cast On for toes, the short row heel, and the increase toe. We will also learn a stretchy bind off.

These techniques will be taught using the Magic Loop (1 circular needle) or on two circular needles. These techniques can be adapted to any foot.


LACE-BACK FINGERLESS GLOVES
Skill Level: Intermediate.
Next Start Date: September 10.

Join us and learn lace (from a chart or written) and add beads as you go. Get an early start on those holiday gifts.

BARTON PARK SHAWL
Skill Level:
Intermediate
Next Start Date:September 13.

This lovely lace shawl was inspired by the Jane Austen novel, Sense and Sensibility. Come into the shop and see the model created from an Austrailian unbrushed mohair yarn. (Or perhaps more importantly feel it.) This is an intermediate pattern with resting rows between pattern rows and a beaded edge. The pattern is available for purchase on-line at PatternFish or at LambShoppe.

It's back! Our Twelve Step program that encourages our knitting and crocheting addiction. Sorry AA. Twelve Projects for the new year, one a month.

LEARNER'S PERMIT TO CROCHET
Skill Level: Novice
Next Start Date: September 8.

Learn to chain, single, double, half-double, triple, increase and decrease. We'll be making an adult or child's crocheted blanket from the
Noro Flowers Book 4 using the techniques learned.

LEARNER'S PERMIT TO KNIT
Skill Level: Novice
Next Start Date: September 5.

In four weeks, Beginners turn into real knitters! Learn how to knit, purl, cast on, bind off and decrease when making your first hat in the round in week three. In week four you will complete your hat using double point needles.
