CLASSES

REGISTRATION
Register for classes by coming into the shop or calling 303-322-2223. Take a minute to read and understand the Class and Cancellation Policies below.

CLASS POLICY
As space is limited, full payment is required at registration to hold your spot. All materials must be purchased prior to the beginning of class, unless otherwise noted. All materials needed must be purchased from LambShoppe with the exception of hardware you already own such as needles, hooks etc. Please note skill level required and if there is any homework for your class. As a courtesy to the other students we ask that you arrive for class on time. There will be no admittance beyond 10 minutes past the start time.We know that occasionally unforeseen events will prevent you from being able to attend all of the scheduled classes. In that event any make-up time must be arranged with your instructor and there may be an additional fee required.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Class and workshop fees are transferable up to one week before the start of class. We cannot refund or transfer after that. Instructors reserve the right to cancel with less than their minimum student sign-ups. In the event of cancelation the student has the option of transferring to a differents class or receiving a refund.

PRIVATE HELP APPOINTMENTS
Unable to attend a class or need more individualized help? Schedule a private appointment with one of our skilled staff by calling 303-322-2223. $30.00 to $50.00 per hour for private lessons.
KNITTING SKILL LEVELS
Novice:
Knows how to spell knit, purl and crochet.

Beginner:
Knit- Knows how to cast on and bind off, knit and purl, increase and decrease.
Crochet - Knows how to chain, single, double and triple crochet.

Intermediate:
Knows a variety of stitches, how to use double points, knit in the round, and knows mid-level shaping.

Advanced:
Knows lace stitches and intricate stitch patterns, fair isle, and how to short row.

MOSAIC KNITTED BABY BLANKET

Skill Level: Beginner.
Next Start Date: July 7, 2016.

Looks hard but isn't. Learn how to use slip stitches to give your blanket an expert look while only using one color at a time. No color work involved. Great for all levels of knitters. Choose size of blanket and two colors of DK or Worsted yarn and away we go.

Learn the basics of lace knitting with this beautiful and easy pattern. Choice of sizes and guages. Take the next step in knitting.




LINAZA SHAWL
Skill Level:Adv. Beginner to Intermediate
Next Start Date: July 12, 2016.


A lacy shawl perfect for summer. This project requires just one hank of Plymouth Linaza. Homework: Get yarn and pattern avaailable in the store. Begin the shawl body/stockinette section.


KATHMANDU PONCHO
Skill Level:Intermediate
Next Start Date: July 12, 2016.


Time for a fabulous poncho using Kathmandu Yarn, a combination of Merino, Silk and Cashmere. Oh my. No sewing necessary - made using 3 different needle sizes. The sample (picture coming shortly) uses one color, but this pattern can easily be made with two complementary colors. The poncho is open-sides and has ribbed sides and bottom, stockinette body a garter bodice and is created using rib, stockinette, garter stitches, plus knitting in the round. The collar is over-sized and , should we say fluffy? Because this project has no seams to finish, it is perfect for those of us who have projects waiting for the finishing fairy to magically sew our creations together. We can fire her!


AISLING SHAWL
Skill Level:Intermediate

Aisling meas dream, and this shawl is. It begins at the center and is knit outward to the border. It is a combination of two yarn over increases in each row, and is knit in stockinette with eyelets which resemble raindrops - interrupted with rows of garter stitch. The lace cabled border is worked sideways at the end and attached to the body by means of simple decreases and slipped stitches. We're taking enought time between classes so that there will be enought time to complete this beautiful projet. We're using Llama Lace by Queensland. Yum.

TOE-UP SOCKS, TWO AT A TIME.
Skill Level:
Advanced

Ever wanted to knit socks, but didn't know how to start or were intimidated by the heels and toes? Or didn't know how long you could make the socks with the yarn you had?

This class will answer all your questions about knitting socks from the toes up, AND teach you how to knit both socks at the same time (Optional). (This avoids the DREADED Second Sock Syndrome!!)

This class will entail 3-90 minute sessions where you will master Judy's Magic Cast On for toes, the short row heel, and the increase toe. We will also learn a stretchy bind off.

These techniques will be taught using the Magic Loop (1 circular needle) or on two circular needles. These techniques can be adapted to any foot.

DOWNTOWN LINE SHAWL
Skill Level:Intermediate.

A light weight shawl perfecxt for summer. This shawl is worked in setions with short rows, giving the project lots of movement.
Homework: Download the pattern from www.ravelry.com Select yarn, complete section 1 of the pattern.

LEARNER'S PERMIT TO CROCHET

Learn to chain, single, double, half-double, triple, increase and decrease. We'll be making an adult or child's crocheted blanket from the
Noro Flowers Book 4 using the techniques learned.

LEARNER'S PERMIT TO KNIT

In four weeks, Beginners turn into real knitters! Learn how to knit, purl, cast on, bind off and decrease when making your first hat in the round in week three. In week four you will complete your hat using double point needles.

BEYOND THE BASICS
Skill Level:Advanced Beginner/Intermediate

Got the basics down? Time to advance those knitting skills,. In this class you will learn a cable cowl, NAE scarf using seed stitch and learning to follow patterns, fixing mistakes and lots more!
