CLASSES

REGISTRATION
Register for classes by coming into the shop or calling 303-322-2223. Take a minute to read and understand the Class Policy Section below.

CLASS POLICY
As space is limited, full payment is required at registration to hold your spot. All materials must be purchased prior to the beginning of class, unless otherwise noted. All materials needed must be purchased from LambShoppe with the exception of hardware you already own such as needles, hooks etc. Please note skill level required and if there is any homework for your class. As a courtesy to the other students we ask that you arrive for class on time. There will be no admittance beyond 10 minutes past the start time. We know that occasionally unforeseen events will prevent you from being able to attend all of the scheduled classes. In that event any make-up time must be arranged with your instructor and there may be an additional fee required.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Class and workshop fees are transferable up to one week before the start of class. We cannot refund or transfer after that. Instructors reserve the right to cancel with less than their minimum student sign-ups. In the event of cancelation the student has the option of transferring to a differents class or receiving a refund.

When signing up for a class, please note the skill level required and if there is homework noted.

PRIVATE HELP APPOINTMENTS
Unable to attend a class or need more individualized help? Schedule a private appointment with one of our skilled staff by calling 303-322-2223. $30.00 to $50.00 per hour for private lessons.
KNITTING SKILL LEVELS
Novice:
Knows how to spell knit, purl and crochet.

Beginner:
Knit- Knows how to cast on and bind off, knit and purl, increase and decrease.
Crochet - Knows how to chain, single, double and triple crochet.

Intermediate:
Knows a variety of stitches, how to use double points, knit in the round, and knows mid-level shaping.

Advanced:
Knows lace stitches and intricate stitch patterns, fair isle, and how to short row.

JIVE TURKEY BABY HAT

FELTED OF KNIT THANKSGIVING COASTERS
Skill Level: Beginner. Next Start Date: November 15, 2014



Knit a Coaster and decorate it with Turkeys fit for the Thanksgiving Table of decorate a Felted Turkey Coaster. Either way, a felted turkey or decorate a felted coaster.

LEARNER'S PERMIT TO CROCHET
Skill Level: Novice
Next Start Date:November 5, 2014.

Learn to chain, single, double, half-double, triple, increase and decrease. We'll be making an adult or child's crocheted blanket from the
Noro Flowers Book 4 using the techniques learned.

FREE KNIT ALONG - EAST NEUK HOODIE

Join Whitney for a knit along!!! We will be working on the "East Neuk Hoodie" by Kristen Orme in the fall 2014 Knitscene. Check it out on ravelry http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/east-neuk-hoodie . The first knit along will meet on Tuesday July 8th from 2-4pm and will take place the 1st and 3rd Tusdays (2-4) and Saturdays (noon-2) of every month. FETCHING GLOVES
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner.

Learn to cable, knit in the round using double point needles and make something fun to wear all at once! Jump right in and learn a few techniques in one project.

COLORADO FLAG HAT
Skill Level: Intermediate.
You've seen it in the shop, now make one for yourself, and your entire family. We'll learn the provisional cast on to create a hemmed cuff, then work color striping and color changing to create this Colorado-proud ski cap.

LEARNER'S PERMIT TO KNIT
Skill Level: Novice
Next Start Date: November 8, 2014.

In four weeks, Beginners turn into real knitters! Learn how to knit, purl, cast on, bind off and decrease when making your first hat in the round in week three. In week four you will complete your hat using double point needles.

KNIT STITCH CRASH COURSE
Skill Level: Novice
Next Start Date: November 8, 2014.

Learn to cast on your yarn and begin knitting a Cowl or a Scarf. You will now understand why knitters ALWAYS carry their knitting with them (the car, parties, Bronco games, movies, you get the idea). This intro class will prepare you to move on to the next project if you catch the bug. Happy knitting!

RAEANNE SHAWL SWEATER
Skill Level: Advanced Intermediate Crochet.
Next Start Date: In Progress

Learn to read the "granny square" map for this beautiful sweater. We'll go round by round, joining and using the row by row stitch pattern while learning how to join the motifs, how to join the sleeves from the shoulder down while maintaining the motif pattern, how to read the legends while using the Granny Square Motif, the Triangle Motif, the Half Motif and the Wedge Motif. Altogether it is a challenging and rewarding experience in beautiful crochet and can be worn both fitted and casual. Yummy!

BARTON PARK SHAWL
Skill Level: Intermediate
Next Start Date: November 2, 2014

This lovely lace shawl was inspired by the Jane Austen novel, Sense and Sensibility. Come into the shop and see the model created from an Austrailian unbrushed mohair yarn. (Or perhaps more importantly feel it.) This is an intermediate pattern with resting rows between pattern rows and a beaded edge. The pattern is available for purchase on-line at PatternFish or at LambShoppe.

MADISON PONCHO
Intermediate
Next Start Date: November 2, 2014.


This poncho is knit from side to side with cables on both sides of the neck opening. It has seed stitch side borders and the cuffs are picked up and knit in ribbing at the end.

SELKIE WRAP KNIT ALONG
Skill Level: Intermediate. Next Start Date: November 2, 2014.


Curl up in this adorable and versatile wrap with bulky cabling and cute fastening buttons. With Mary Carol at the helm of this Knitalong, it's a great starter project for someone looking to knit apparel. There is currently a sample at LambShoppe if you'd like to try it on and see the style up close. Mary Carol used Rowan Alpaca Chunky for her Selkie, but Rowan Big Wool, Cascade Magnum and Lamb's Pride Burly Spun are also great choices.
