THE GREAT AMERICAN ARAN AFGHAN

Sign Up Now!

You’ve seen the pictures of this heirloom afghan; 24 squares of cables, braids, bobbles and more. It’s been on our “bucket list” since the pattern first came out in 2003 and now you can join Mary Carol, Anita, and Glenda in an amazing free year-long class. Beginning in January 2010 and culminating in January 2011, we will cover two squares per month with an additional month for finishing. The only requirement is that the yarn and pattern be purchased at LambShoppe. Choose from a wide variety of worsted weight yarns, but order the yarn this fall to insure enough of the same dyelot and to be ready to start knitting the beginning of the year. And plan for a blow-out party in 2011 to celebrate the completion of this amazing project!

One customer has suggested a marvelous addition to this class. We will be asking each student to make one additional square of his or her choice sometime during the year. We will then assemble all of these additional squares to create a special afghan that will be donated to an auction with all proceeds going to charity. (Thanks Liz!)

This versatile and wearable vest has lots of details that will make everyone take notice.
