CLASSES

REGISTRATION
Register for classes by coming into the shop or calling 303-322-2223. Take a minute to read and understand the Class Policy Section below.

CLASS POLICY
As space is limited, full payment is required at registration to hold your spot. All materials must be purchased prior to the beginning of class, unless otherwise noted. All materials needed must be purchased from LambShoppe with the exception of hardware you already own such as needles, hooks etc. Please note skill level required and if there is any homework for your class. As a courtesy to the other students we ask that you arrive for class on time. There will be no admittance beyond 10 minutes past the start time. We know that occasionally unforeseen events will prevent you from being able to attend all of the scheduled classes. In that event any make-up time must be arranged with your instructor and there may be an additional fee required.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Class and workshop fees are transferable up to one week before the start of class. We cannot refund or transfer after that. Instructors reserve the right to cancel with less than their minimum student sign-ups. In the event of cancelation the student has the option of transferring to a differents class or receiving a refund.

When signing up for a class, please note the skill level required and if there is homework noted.

PRIVATE HELP APPOINTMENTS
Unable to attend a class or need more individualized help? Schedule a private appointment with one of our skilled staff by calling 303-322-2223. $30.00 to $50.00 per hour for private lessons.
KNITTING SKILL LEVELS
Novice:
Knows how to spell knit, purl and crochet.

Beginner:
Knit- Knows how to cast on and bind off, knit and purl, increase and decrease.
Crochet - Knows how to chain, single, double and triple crochet.

Intermediate:
Knows a variety of stitches, how to use double points, knit in the round, and knows mid-level shaping.

Advanced:
Knows lace stitches and intricate stitch patterns, fair isle, and how to short row.

LEARNER'S PERMIT TO CROCHET
Skill Level: Novice
Learn to chain, single, double, half-double, triple, increase and decrease. We'll be making an adult or child's crocheted blanket from the Noro Flowers Book 4 using the techniques learned.

CRASH COURSE SURVIVORS CLASS
Skill Level: Designed for the survivor's of the KNIT STITCH CRASH COURSE.

This three week class finishes up the Learner's Permit to Knit Class which began with the Knit Stitch Crash Course. Learn to knit in the round, purl, use double-point needles, and bind off. Your can classify yourself as and advanced-beginner to intermediate level knitter. For the overachievers in the group, we will start a shawl-collared vest or a more intricate cowl after completing the hat.

ELEPHANT
Skill Level: Intermediate.

The size of this elephant depends on what yarn or combination of yarns you choose. The pattern will be provided for this class.


LACE-BACK FINGERLESS GLOVES

Join us and learn lace (from a chart or written) and add beads as you go. Get an early start on those holiday gifts.



2014 TWELVE STEP PROGRAM

It's back! Our Twelve Step program that encourages our knitting and crocheting addiction. Sorry AA. Twelve Projects for the new year, one a month.

FREE KNIT ALONG - EAST NEUK HOODIE
Intermediate.

Join Whitney for a knit along!!! We will be working on the "East Neuk Hoodie" by Kristen Orme in the fall 2014 Knitscene. Check it out on ravelry http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/east-neuk-hoodie . The first knit along will meet on Tuesday July 8th from 2-4pm and will take place the 1st and 3rd Tusdays (2-4) and Saturdays (noon-2) of every month. The knit-along is free to participate with purchase of yarn and the Fall 2014 Knitscene Magazine ($7.99). Please RSVP by calling or stopping by Lamb Shoppe and signing up.

LEARN TO KNIT
Skill Level: Novice

In four weeks, learn all the basics you need to become a knitter.

While making a scarf you will learn how to knit, purl, cast on, bind off, increase and decrease. You will begin to learn how to "read your knitting" and read a pattern. We will touch on how to fix mistakes, measure guage and select materials. This class price includes instuction time, the scarf pattern, one pair of straight needles and a reference book. Yarn is not included and must be purchased from LambShoppe prior to the start of class. Ask for yarn requirements when registering for class.

BEYOND BASIC SOCKS
Intermediate

You will have your choice of several patterns to make theses socks. Must be adept at knitting and purling and working on double point needles.

MISS WINKLE SCARF
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner

Another variation of the "Hitchhiker Scarf" by Martina Behm. Miss Winkle is an asymmetric shawlette in garter stitch that looks fabulous in a variegated hand-dyed yarn. You start with one little loop, adding longer and longer rows that form a very long triangle with loops along one side. The pattern for this project is available for purchase on Ravelry.com.

TREE OF LIFE AFGHAN
Intermediate

You'll knit this beautiful Nicky Epstein throw in this six-session class. We are offering this throw in 2 sizes, you can make a baby throw which is approx. 26" x 34" or a full size afghan that is approx. 48" x 58".You will learn chart reading, basic cabling, and bobbles to create a lovely accent for any decor. Before class come in and pick up a free copy of the pattern and purchase your materials.


RAEANNE SHAWL SWEATER
Skill Level: Advanced Intermediate Crochet.

Learn to read the "granny square" map for this beautiful sweater. We'll go round by round, joining and using the row by row stitch pattern while learning how to join the motifs, how to join the sleeves from the shoulder down while maintaining the motif pattern, how to read the legends while using the Granny Square Motif, the Triangle Motif, the Half Motif and the Wedge Motif. Altogether it is a challenging and rewarding experience in beautiful crochet and can be worn both fitted and casual. Yummy!


TURKISH BED SOCKS

These little socks are great for travel or with clogs. They are fast to knit and make great gifts. Intermediate skills are a must. Magic loop knitting is also an option.

KNIT STITCH CRASH COURSE
Skill Level: Novice

Learn to cast on your yarn and begin knitting a Cowl or a Scarf. You will now understand why knitters ALWAYS carry their knitting with them (the car, parties, Bronco games, movies, you get the idea). This intro class will give you a taste for knitting so that you are ready for the Crash Course Survivor's Class. Happy knitting!
