PRIVATE LESSONS WITH MAI WYN


Mai Wyn is a working artist and avid knitter. She helped her mother reopen their hometown yarn shop ten years ago and has been employed at LambShoppe for four. Teaching classes and working with customers one-on-one has always been Mai Wyn's strong suit. She loves top-down knitting (or anything with unique contruction) and is skilled at matching the perfect yarn to pattern or vice versa. Mai Wyn is patient with newer knitters, talented at adapting patterns, and good at getting people "back on track" with their knitting. Fair isle, socks and continental instruction however, are simple not her thing.

PRIVATE LESSONS WITH HOLLIE

Hollie has been knitting for 14 years: this will likely come as some surprise to most of you since she, admittedly, looks about 15/16 anyway. Hollie's Mammaw taught her how to knit and purl when she was 9 and she has been teaching herself new techniques and broadening the scope of her craft ever since. Hollie worked at LambShoppe for a year and a half before other career opportunities pulled her away last fall. However, she still teaches classes at the shoppe and is available for private lessons. Some call her a combination knitting instructor and encouraging life coach; while perusing the shoppe in the past, you might have heard her say, "there is no self-loathing at my table.: She knows everybody has to start somwhere and it is certainly not always easy; but she is a very patient and accommodateing instructor who will help any level student get where they want to be with their knittting. She is also incredibly goofy.

CROCHETED AFGHAN
Advanced Beginner/Intermediate.

Make this fabulous Crochetd Granny Square Afghan in the variegated Noro Silk Garden show, or using many individual colors to create the rounds. Both styles are winners. Prerequisites are the ability to chain, single and double crochet.

Learn how to knit, purl, cast on, bind off and decrease when making your first hat in the round in week three. In week four you will complete your hat using double point needles.
