Classes and Private Lessons at Lambshoppe
Lambshoppe is proud to offer some of the best knitting and crochet classes in the Front Range! We're proud of our instructors and our students, and we've made up a handy guide to let you know what to expect from our classes here at the Shoppe!

Class Skill Levels

Learner's Permit to Knit/Crochet: Our Learner's Permit to Knit/Crochet classes require no experience at all! We will teach you everything, from how to choose your yarn and needles, to how to knit, purl, cast on, bind off, or how to chain and single crochet.

Beyond the Basics Knit/Crochet: These next-level classes build on the skills taught in Learner's Permit. If you did not take Learner's Permit, you will need to be able to knit, purl, cast on and bind off fairly confidently for knitting. For crochet, you will need to be able to chain and single crochet

Advanced Beginner: These project-based classes are great for those who have already taken the Learner's Permit and Beyond the Basics classes. The class description will generally include a list of basic skills students must have to be successful in the class. Good examples of these classes include the Novice Sweater, Socks 101, Oops I Dropped a Stitch, etc. Class descriptions will also include what fun new skills you will learn by participating in the class!

Intermediate: Project-based classes for the more experienced knitter. These will usually involve colorwork such as stranded colorwork and intarsia, more involved seaming and construction, different cast ons and bind offs, and working socks and mittens two at a time.

Advanced: These classes are designed to challenge experienced knitters. See class descriptions for details on what skills students need to have ahead of time.

Class Policies

Class Materials: Class materials, with the exception of needles and notions, MUST be purchased at Lambshoppe. We do often offer several options at different price points for our class materials, so if you'd like to explore more cost-effective yarns, please let the Instructor know and we will be happy to help you find an option that works for the class and fits your budget.

Minimum Number of Students:
All classes must have a minimum of 3 students signed up to run. Classes with less than 3 people signed up may be run as private lessons at the Instructor's discretion. If there are less than 3 students enrolled, those who are registered will be notified and refunded at least 48 hours in advance.

Cancellations: All class cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance of the first day of class for a full refund. Within 48 hours of the class beginning, students may cancel for a store credit on their account. After the first day of class, no refunds, for store credit or otherwise, will be issued.

Missed Classes/Make-up Classes: Make-up classes may be offered at the discretion of the instructor with the exception of the first session of a class. If you will be unable to attend the first session of a class, please do not register for the class.

Health and Safety: In light of the ongoing Covid-19 situation, we request that students who are not feeling well stay home. We are happy to arrange make-up sessions for those who need to stay home for health reasons. If someone in your family is sick, we request that you wear a mask. Instructors will mask at their own discretion based on their risk levels.

Private Lessons: These one-on-one sessions are scheduled directly with your Instructor. Because our Instructors schedule that time just for you, all cancellations MUST be made 48 hours in advance.
