Learner's Permit to Crochet

Are you curious about crochet? Come learn the basics in this 4-week class! Participants will start by learning the chain stitch and single crochet stitch. Then we will learn the double crochet and slip stitches. Finally we will use these stitches to make a cowl called the Easy Peasy Cheery Granny Crochet Cowl! 

Graduates of Learner’s Permit to Crochet class will be ready to take on any easy crochet pattern out there, from hats to amigurumi, baby blankets to cardigans!

Supplies to be purchased at Lambshoppe:

  • Simplicity yarn in 4-6 light/bright colors
  • H (5.0mm) crochet hook

  • Scissors

  • Tapestry needle

Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: This is an introductory class. No prior experience necessary.

Instructor: Amanda
Instructor Bio: Amanda has been knitting since 2005 and taught herself how to crochet (with a short lesson from her mom) in 2012. She's been focused more on crochet rather than knitting lately and loves teaching beginners in the Learner's Permit class as well as anyone who drops into LambShoppe for crochet help. Amanda moved to Denver in 2007 and has worked as a schoolteacher as well as a ski instructor here in Colorado. Amanda loves to exercise in Wash Park and spend time with her pets and her husband Bret. Amanda's niece Fiona is the newest target for knit, and especially crochet, projects right now.
There will be an additional cost for materials that must be purchased at Lambshoppe.
