Socks 101



Come and learn to knit socks top-down on double-point needles. We will learn how to make socks that fit, learn a short row heel, and finish with an in-depth tutorial on kichener stitch. A must-take class for anyone interested in knitting socks! Rachel will guide you through both socks over the course of the class, so no second sock syndrome either! 


Supplies:  

  • 100 grams or 463 yards of sock weight yarn. Rachel recommends Urth Harvest, Cascade Heritage or Heritage Paints, Watercolor Sock, Urth Uneek, or Lang Soxx.
  • Size US 1 8" double point needles

  • Tapestry needle

  • Stitch markers

  • Scissors

  • Sock ruler (optional)
  • Sock blockers (optional)


Skill Level: Intermediate
Skill Details: Students must be able to cast on, knit, purl, increase, decrease, and bind off with little to no assistance to be ready for this class.
Materials Included: Yarn and knitting supplies not included in class price.
