Malabrigo Mechita KAL Cast on Party!
Lambshoppe is participating in Malabrigo's Spring Knit Along this year! Read on for all the details!
WHAT: A one-month knit along by Malabrigo, using Malabrigo Mechita Yarn. This is not a class, but an informal cast-on event, although we'll be on hand if you have questions!
WHEN: Lambshoppe's cast on party will be held on Wednesday, March 1st to coincide with Malabrigo's livestream cast-on party on Instagram. Time TBD. You can take a look at the KAL calender here.
WHO: Anyone who wants to participate can join! The only rules are that you MUST purchase your yarn from Lambshoppe, and it MUST be Malabrigo. The pattern is designed for advanced beginners. They list the skills you need as the following:

THE PATTERN: A beautiful two-tone scarf with cabled stitchwork. Since it's knit in fingering weight, it's great for late winter/spring ensembles! The pattern will be sent to Knit Along participants when it is released, after they sign up.
THE YARN: Malabrigo Mechita is a fingering-weight, beautifully-dyed single-ply superwash yarn. Soft and rich, but great for lighter projects! This project takes two skeins of Mechita, one of each color you choose. We've made kits for you here, or you can create your own two-skein combination yourself here.
SIGNING UP: You need to sign up in two places. The first place is here with Lambshoppe (above) if you'd like to join the cast-on party on Wednesday, March 1st.

Malabrigo is hosting a Facebook group, Ravelry thread, and blog to keep knit along participants connected and to help you through any tricky bits!
