Don't Panic Gift Series - Granny Square Slippers
Would you like to make a quick, but fabulous pair of Granny Square Slippers? You can make them for yourself or give them as a gift. These slippers are an easy yet satisfying crochet project for a new or experienced crocheter.
In this class, we will practice a new granny square. Then we'll calculate how big or small to make our squares in order to make a pair of slippers that fits. We’ll master these slippers with plenty of time to make a dozen pairs for all your holiday gifting!
Supplies: Manos del Uruguay MAXIMA in 3-4 colors, F (3.75mm) and/or G (4.0mm crochet hook, scissors, tapestry needle, measuring tape
Homework or Additional Info: Measure the length of the foot of the person you will be making these slippers for and bring that with you to our first class.

| Instructor Bio: | Amanda: Amanda is our newest crochet enthusiast at Lambshoppe. She has been knitting for 17 years and taught herself how to crochet about 10 years ago. Amanda has been focused more on crochet rather than knitting lately and is looking forward to teaching a Lerner?s Permit to Crochet class later this month. She hopes we can get a Beyond the Basics Crochet class going in October and then move on to some crochet projects as well. Amanda moved to Denver in 2007 and has worked as a schoolteacher as well as a ski instructor here in Colorado. Amanda loves to exercise in Wash Park and spend time with her kitty Oasis, dogs Onyx and Dusty, and her husband Bret. Amanda?s new niece Fiona is the newest target for knit, and especially crochet, projects this year. |
