Building with Lace
From the book, "In Building with Lace, a gorgeous sampler shawl is knit as a wearable showcase of your lace skills. Each section focuses on a technique to broaden your understanding of this genre."
Mary Carol is going to teach us the basics of lace knitting in this 11 week class. You'll have two weeks in between classes, so lots of time to work your magic, and plenty of hands-on guidance along the way.
Supplies
You will need:
- The Building with Lace book by Michelle Hunter
- 5 skeins of Hikoo Rylie (274 yards each)
- Size US 6 24" circular needles
- Size F crochet hook
- Seed beads (more information provided in class)
- Stitch markers
- Tapestry needle
- Smooth fingering weight waste yarn, such as cotton.
- Cable needle
Please purchase your supplies (and book!) and have at least one ball of your yarn wound before class begins. Yarn for this class must be purchased at Lambshoppe. Needles and notions may be brought from home.
