Metamorphic Sweater
Knit the Metamoriphic top down sweater where stripes and the “wrong side” steal the show, but we knit inside out to avoid all the purling! Faux seams add a touch of detail. It is a classic fit sweater.

Supplies: Purchase yardage for your size for Main and Contrasting Color.
- We will be using both Urth Spiral Grain Light Worsted AND Urth Spiral Grain Sport-
- Main color - Urth Spiral Grain Light Worsted (sample Magnolia)
- Contrasting color - Urth Spiral Grain Sport (sample Magnolia)
- Needles
- Main Fabric - US 6 - 16” for collar; 32” - 40” for body
- Ribbing - US 4 - 16” for collar; 32” for hem; preferred type for small circumference for cuffs
- **Andrea recommends a US 7 for sleeves as some people knit tighter in a smaller circumference. Use needles with preferred method for small circumference.
- Stitch markers
- Something to hold stitches - smooth thin waste yarn
- Tapestry Needle
Homework: See pattern for recommended swatching. Prepare a good sized swatch - cast on at least 32 stitches. Swatch in the round. Block swatch and bring to class. Purchase all of your supplies and have yarn wound so that class can start on time.
