Socktoberfest - Thrummed Slippers
What’s better than a warm and cozy slipper on a cold day? Well those cold days are coming so let’s make those slippers! These slippers are toe up and knit up super quick. You can even get gift knitting going on these.
We will knit slippers and add the thrums as you go. What are thrums? We knit in small bits of wool roving into the slipper. The tail ends of the roving make the slipper super warm and will felt on the inside with wear. Karen will teach you all the steps.
Pattern: Borealis Thrummed Slippers. Pattern will be handed out in class.
Supplies:
1 skein of worsted or bulky weight yarn.
Yarn suggestions: Malabrigo Rios, Cascade 128, HiKoo Worsted, Jody Long Artesano, Ella Rae Color Marvel to name a few.
Roving will be supplied.
40” US 9 needles for magic loop
Stitch markers
”C” (2.75mm) Crochet hook.
