Christmas Crunch - Embroidered Headband
If you’ve ever wanted to learn a few embroidery stitches on knitting, but didn’t have a lot of time, this is the class for you!
In the Embroidered Headband class the student knits a simple headband in the first session.
In the second session they learn four key embroidery stitches in a single two-hour class. The headband pattern will be supplied by the instructor.
At the end of the second session the students will have a cute headband to give or wear!
Supplies:
- 1 skein of HiKoo Simply Worsted. The sample is knitted in color 014 Frambois.
- 5 skeins of DMC Eco Vita embroidery wool. US size 10 knitting needles
- Pick a light green and a dark green, and a light and dark shade that will contrast with the headband base color, and a yellow.
- The instructor used color numbers: 202, 606, 609, 706, and 708.
- Embroidery needle whose eye is large enough for the Eco Vita embroidery thread
- Scissors
- Optional: needle threader and needle minder
- (if using a hook style needle threader be sure to check that the hook will fit through the eye of the needles)
