DATE CHANGE - Christmas Crunch - Embroidered Snowman Cowl
If you’ve ever wanted to learn a few embroidery stitches on knitting, or how to do cables, but didn’t have a lot of time, here is a class for you!
In the Embroidered Snowman Cowl class the student knits a simple 2 color cowl, with a little bit of cabling in the first session.
In the second session you learn three key embroidery stitches in a single two-hour class. The cowl pattern is supplied by the instructor. At the end of the second session the students will have a cute cowl to give or wear!
Supplies:
- Two skeins of Berroco Mirelle.
- Purchase one skein for a snow color and one skein for a sky color. The sample is knitted in color 11801 Jasmine and 11810 Ocean Storm of Berroco Mirelle.
- 3 skeins of DMC Eco Vita embroidery wool. Pick a black or dark brown and a couple of shades for scarf and hat colors
- Needles: US 8 - 24"

Homework: Purchase items on supply list before class. With the snow color use your favorite cast-on method to cast on 98 stitches. Slip 1st stitch knit wise and K2 P2 to last stitch P1. Repeat this rib for 1.5 inches then change to stockinette stitch for 1.5 inches, slipping the 1st stitch in each row. The slipped stitches form a sledge to make seaming the back easier. We will begin class by making snowmen.
