Dutch Tulips Shawl Kits

THE KIT
Mary Carol paired up her favorite colors on 2 Theodora's Pearls bases to make Dutch Tulips Shawl Kits in honor of LambShoppe's upcoming 20th Birthday! Kits include a printed pattern and 2 skeins of Palladio or 2 skeins of Auxanometer so read about the bases below and choose carefully when ordering!

BONUS: Jennifer Miller will host a Cast-On party (free with yarn/kit purchase!) for the Dutch Tulips shawl on Sunday, April 12 from 3:00-5:00pm. More info and registration here!

THE PATTERN
Designed by Alina Apposova, Dutch Tulips is a delightful little shawl, that combines all her favorite stitches and techniques: mindless garter stitch, engaging mosaic knitting, and delicate eyelets. Repeats are short and easy to memorize. Only one color at a time. No purling. I promise you’ll enjoy knitting it!
The shawl is an asymmetrical triangular shape, knitted sideways. The pattern is written to use most of the 2 skeins of yarn, but the size is easy to adjust by working more or fewer repeats (you will need more yarn if you want to make it bigger). The pattern can be worked from the written instructions or charts.
SUGGESTED NEEDLES: US #5 / 3.75 mm circular needles (or as required to get the gauge); NOTIONS: darning needle; GAUGE: 20 sts x 44 rows = 4” in pattern. Gauge is not crucial for this project, but it will affect the yardage and finished size if different from above; SIZE: wingspan 79”, depth 20”(wet blocked)

THE YARNS
Theodora's Pearls is hand dyed locally in Longmont, Colorado by Jennifer Miller. Choose from:
Auxanometer is a fingering weight, 100% Bamboo. 115g/400yards
or
Palladio is a fingering weight blend of superwash merino wool (75%), cashmere (15%), and silk (10%). 115g/410yards
Both yarns should be hand washed and laid flat to dry
