We want to show off Rowan's Moordale and the Guernsey Wrap is the ultimate way to do it! Kits include 5 skeins of yarn and a printed pattern in an organza bag. Just add needles (US6 suggested)!
THE PATTERN
Guernsey Wrap from Jared Flood: Textured patterns found on traditional fishermen’s sweaters adorn this simple and practical stole. The knitting is straightforward, accessible to the adventurous beginner. The wrap achieves its generous dimensions and fluid drape through the use of blocking wires, typically used to put knitted lace under tension as it dries to open up the stitch motifs.
Required Techniques: Cast-on and Bind-off of knitter's choice and reading charts; Optional Techniques: Sewn Bind-off; Instructions given for wet blocking with blocking wires (sold in-store)
THE YARN
A truly British yarn, Moordale combines British wool and alpaca, with a range of neutrals and on-trend brights to choose from. The complimentary shades work beautifully together in colorwork, but shine equally when used on their own for lace, cables and texture. The fine micron wool and soft-to-the-touch alpaca give this yarn a robust but tender feel perfect for any season. All wool & alpaca sourced and milled in the UK!
