THE KIT
In honor of Soctober 2025, we have put together kits for you to knit up a pair of Vanilla Bean Socks in Huasco Sock Dawn Paints & Huasco Sock Twilight Paints. Kits include one hank of yarn and a printed pattern, all in an organza bag. Just add needles! (US 1/2.25mm suggested, but we highly recommend you check your gauge!)
THE PATTERN
From Crazy Sock Lady Designs, Vanilla Bean Socks is a sock pattern that is just beyond a vanilla sock! I love how relaxing this pattern is to work up! Pattern includes video tutorial links for German twisted cast-on & Kitchener stitch. (But she has LOTS of tutorials on her YouTube channel HERE if you want to learn more about sock-knitting!) FYI: Pattern is written for a cuff down sock with instructions for a heel flap and gusset.
THE YARN
Araucania Huasco Sock Hand Painted is inspired by the Mapuche word for "river of gold". This super fine-weight yarn combines 75% SuperWash Merino Wool with 25% Polyamide for a luxurious blend of softness and durability. Each 100 gram skein offers an impressive 433 yards of yarn, spun and hand-painted in Peru with meticulous care. Our Vanilla Bean Socks kits include hand painted yarns from the Huasco Sock Dawn Paints & Huasco Sock Twilight Paints collection. Machine washable.
