THE KIT
Although we're late on the Fall KAL that Andrea Mowry hosted, her 2024 DRK pattern, Oxbow Socks, has been haunting us ever since. We have paired up Gazzal Yarns' Wool Star with the Oxbow Socks pattern and put it into a kit for you. Kits include 2 Hanks of Wool Star and a printed Oxbow Socks pattern in an organza bag. Just add needles! (Andrea recommends US 1 with fingering weight yarn, but we recommend checking your gauge of course!)
THE PATTERN
From Andrea Mowry, the designer behind Drea Renee Knits: These sweet little anklets are a breeze to whip up! The Oxbow socks are adorned with my favorite knit-purl stitch pattern for just a touch of texture. They are worked from the cuff down, using the Magic Loop method with a Heel Flap & Gusset. The pattern includes options for both Sport and Fingering weight yarn and multiple sizes!
THE YARN
Wool Star, from Gazzal Yarns, is a beautiful hand-dyed merino wool yarn. The extreme softness and bouncy feel comes from its unique construction, which consists of 4 pairs of individual plies, making for a total of eight strands that showcase the bold colors perfectly. There are no dye lots with these hand painted yarns so alternating skeins is recommended as there may be variance between skeins.
