Wild and Wooly Colorado Yarn Crawl!
Special Hours:
Daily 10am to 7pm during the crawl
The Wild and Wooly Colorado Yarn Crawl is a NINE day yarn crawl that takes you to each of the Colorado Front Range’s favorite yarn shops!
How It Works
Download your crawl passport at the Wild and Wooly Passport link and print it ahead of time. If you'd like to enter our Crawl Coloring Contest, color it in and be entered to win a prize! Over the 9 days, visit each of our participating yarn shops and have your passport stamped. Each shop has its own prize baskets to give away, and if you visit all 9, you will be entered to win one of 3 Grand Prizes.
9 Yarn Shops from Lafayette to Castle Rock. Find the list on the passport, or at the Wild and Wooly Colorado Yarn Crawl website.
Why:
To celebrate our robust Front Range Yarn Community and introduce you to new, fun shops!
Things to do:
The Passport: Stamp your passport at each shop as you crawl
The Patterns: Each shop has a bespoke, free knit or crochet pattern available to crawlers. Grab yours at each one, or download them during the crawl at the WWCYC website.
The Swag: Collect commemorative stitch markers at each shop, and visit all 9 stores to receive a Finisher stitch marker tin.
The Events: Take advantage of in-store events all week long, including trunk shows, knit and crochet designer visits, etc.
The Merch: Grab a Wild and Wooly Tote and/or Project Bag to keep your goodies in.
The Adventure: Visit a new coffee shop, restaurant, or interesting landmark near the shops. You might find a new favorite!
The Community: Meet other fiber enthusiasts and enjoy our vibrant Colorado fiber community.
Prizes and Giveaways:
Stamp your passport at every shop to be entered for one of three grand prizes.
LambShoppe will have its own prize basket giveaways (three, in fact!)

Each crawler will receive a commemorative stitch marker unique to each shop when you show your passport.
All crawl finishers will receive a special Wild and Wooly 2024 Stitch Marker storage tin to store their markers.

Little Squirrel Yarn was founded in 2021. We are a small indie-dyer team based in Loveland, CO. Sarah and Dylan love to dream up new color combinations and believe that there is room at the table for every color, whether they're bold and bright, rich and moody, or earthy and muted. We utilize a variety of methods and dye in small batches to produce exquisite colors. Our colorways include tonal, variegated, and speckled options. We strive to provide yarns and colors that shine independently, but can also be paired together for beautiful textures and palettes. Conscientious treatment of animals is very important to us, so we only use ethically-sourced yarn. All of our bases are carefully selected to be mulesing-free, high-quality, soft, and durable. We currently offer four bases: Oak Sock (superwash merino/nylon fingering weight), Walnut DK (superwash merino), Pecan Single-Ply (non-superwash organic merino fingering weight) and Beech Lace (suri silk blend).
We like to bring a selection of each of our bases to our trunk shows. The Pecan Single-Ply and Beech Lace are primarily available in tonal colorways; the Oak Sock and Walnut DK are a mix of tonals, variegated, and speckled. We'll also bring sock sets and a few bundles of coordinating mini skeins. We will be in the Shoppe Saturday, August 3, 10 am-2 pm and August 4, 12 pm-4 pm.

Ladderback Jacquard Hat with Jennifer Miller of Theodora's PearlsIf you have trouble with stranded colorwork - it’s too tight, not flexible, catches on fingers or jewelry, or generally just doesn’t look good or feel comfortable, this is the class for you! Ladderback jacquard stranding, originally developed & used for machine knitting, is a version of double-knitting with only a one-stitch column. This technique can used in the round or flat! It’s particularly useful for motifs in which a single color is carried more than an inch, or when you need a stretchy, flexible garment such as a hat or cowl. This technique is easy to learn & apply to any stranded colorwork pattern!Students will learn this new skill while knitting the Love the Winter hat in this class. Jennifer Miller is the artisan behind Theodora's Pearls, a local dyer from Longmont, Colorado, we adore at Lamb Shoppe! Join Jennifer Miller on Sunday, August 11 from 3 to 5pm for the Ladderback Jacquard Hat class! |
